"When we launched www.hvacagent.com in January of 2002, we planned to eventually compliment the site with the addition of www.plumbingagent.com and www.electricalagent.com. Now, five years later, we represent over 5,000 available HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical jobs from about 3,000 of the world's largest contractors and service companies," said Mike Mayberry, president. "Over the last year, we've submitted about 200,000 potential applicants to our employers. HVAC technicians, installers, sales people, plumbers, electricians, engineers, managers, etc ..."

So where do they go from here? Well Mike says that they haven't even scratched the surface yet. Combined, the HVAC, plumbing and electrical trades represents over 225,000 contractors and service companies, and almost two million skilled workers in the United States alone. Although they are the largest, representing more jobs, more employers and more applicants than any other industry specific career site or staffing firm in these trades, they still only represent jobs from just over 1 percent of the companies. "I'd say that 6,000 employers and 10,000 jobs by the end of 2008 is our next goal," said Mike.

Unlike an Internet career site or recruiting/staffing firm, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Agent do not charge fees to post a job or for each person that you hire. Each member company simply contributes their monthly membership dues to be a part of the network. HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Agent help their members to essentially pool their resources to increase results while significantly reducing everyone's employment advertising costs. Although the Internet is an important recruiting strategy, it's just one of many available to employers. HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Agent are unique in that they leverage both Internet and non-Internet based recruiting strategies to locate the most qualified people for each available job.
